Over the course of his career, civil engineer Max Crumit has played a key role in more than 20 transportation and transit projects across the state of Florida. He served as project manager for the design and construction phases of the East-West Expressway upgrade in Orange County, Florida, in which role he led design efforts to upgrade the facility to a six-lane divided expressway with multiple interchanges and grade separation structures. Also involved in a number of transit projects with Walt Disney World, Max Crumit led as project manager for the planned MAGLEV passenger train to EPCOT theme park as well as for the construction of major roadways and parking facilities within the park.

Max Crumit has since gone on to serve in a variety of increasingly responsible roles with PBS&J Inc., a subsidiary to PBSJ Corporation. Most recently the organization’s president, he also served as program director for the company’s contract with the Florida Turnpike Enterprise. In this role, he oversaw all aspects of more than 15 projects, including the redevelopment of eight toll centers and the deployment of the SunPass prepaid toll program.

Later named executive director of the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority, Max Crumit revitalized public perception of the authority and led the development of several key projects, including the stalled Wekiva Parkway, the final segment of the circumferential beltway around Orlando. He later became senior vice president and strategic programs director for CH2M Hill and subsequently a consultant to MCG. In 2016, Mr. Crumit has been offered the role of CEO for runoff collection technologies group Betonwerk US.
